The next brand on our recommend list is Pikanini

So we discovered this brand through a competition that they regularly have where they post a pic of a new bib that is about to be released and you get to suggest name ideas. Which ever name she picks wins the new bib. We thought we would give it a shot and our name “Darcy” was chosen for a very stylish grey/grey with white crosses number.

Now I hadn’t been putting bandana bibs on Brock for a while as he had outgrown his other ones so I wasn’t sure whether I would keep the bib we won or gift it to a friend. We received it in the mail very quickly and when I opened it there was no way I was giving it away! It felt so beautiful. It’s made from 100% cotton and the quality is incredible.

The bibs are not only reversible but also adjustable, a win win in my eyes! You get double the fun for the cost of one! Since receiving that bib we have already ordered and received another two! (really I now have 6 haha.) They wash well as I’m not one to gently wash anything, they’re super absorbent and we got so many compliments. Oh and did I mention  they are just $14.95!! That won’t hurt the wallet!

I contacted the owner of Pikanini with no time to spare and wanted to know a little about the brand and herself.  Lauren is the mum behind Pikanini, she began making bibs for her first born when she couldn’t quite find what she was after. He wore these everywhere and now her bibs are worn by babies & children across Australia and Worldwide. Her eldest is now two but still wears them to add style and her new addition is currently still in the dribbly phase so rocking them daily.

Now the name comes from the pidgin English word for “little child” and it was during a visit to Vanuatu that she decided on the name for her business. Lauren has ties to Vanuatu and being the Supermum she is, travels with her family a few times a year to provide much needed medical supplies to the hospital.

So if you are after a bib for your dribbly child or a style piece to finish off an outfit go and check out www.pikanini.com.au not only am I happy with the overall quality and appearance of these bibs, I’m helping a mum with two kids keep her small business going.
